My name is Dupreau Bias, a 25 yr.-old that specializes is natural hair and locs. I got into hair because I’m not really a weave fan unless it’s braids.  My hair always been long and dry, but I would walk around with my Afro and everyone would always ask why don’t I do anything to my hair and I used to tell them, “idk cause I want a natural protective style like Bantu knots or twist out, but they too hard to do”. My hair would always be so dry and break off badly so one day I just started to experiment on my hair. 

I got into locs because once I had my son, he had so much hair I didn’t want to cut it, so my mom told me to put locs in it.  When it got to paying people $70 to do his hair, I just started watching his stylist do his hair and started practicing in my dad hair first then started practicing in my son’s hair and been doing it ever since.  I started taking clients about a year and a half ago. 

With the hair oil one day I was sitting there thinking about how I can have an extra income. I tried to sell lashes, but it wasn’t right for me so I was like, “you gotta sell something that people would see you use and ask what is it”, so I always wear my real hair and thought of hair oil because I love oil. I don’t care to use grease because it seems so heavy on my hair and my son’s hair.
